Where I’m at: Seeking Singles in a Brand New City
Not that I am not so miserable, ’cause I didn’t always have Great Expectations for my dating life. Get this, merely hours ago I filed three years of back taxes. On a weekend of datelessness, surprise! You better believe it was great. Does that tell you anything? Well, it’s when I seriously considered joining a dating service in North Dallas.
Nothing that can’t be fixed. Figured I’d boost my dating life thru this Dallas dating service. That turned out to be my golden ticket. My dating life is worth bringing up. After practically choking down some of grandma’s potato salad at little Brent’s Easter egg hunt near North Dallas yesterday, great aunt Judy started bothering me if I’ve bumped into the woman I’m going to marry. They sure have nerve. So, I said, “that’s none of your business.”
Even The Old Tooter (aka: grandpa) doesn’t know when to quit driving home on the topic of marriage. I said to all of them: “Hey look, you would bring that up.”
Guess what? Each one of them scoffed. Perturbed, I called Dave because the dating pressure was too much. Why can’t I stop thinking about this! I would have learned more by asking my son. Doug, who is now a Budist monk or something suggested that I meet singles at Great Expectations. I said, “Fine, okay.” But it really was a good idea. I will never regret joining Great Expectations Dallas.
Early on, meeting new singles through dating services was kinda foreign to me. I showed up already a little anxious, and I was speechless at first. That slight disaster did not pull the plug on the evening. That night I enjoyed was a great way to start at Great Expectations. The truth is I’ll never forget all the attractive, single women.
There’s something great about going to these amazing Dallas singles events, I ran into some great people that obviously share a parallel understanding when it comes to dating. Can’t imagine why I used to let everyone get me down about being single. Wonderfully enough, matchmaking in Dallas with Great Expectations is enjoyable and a remarkably refreshing dating experience.
